At a Glance: #FeatureFridays is our ongoing Friday spotlight on real customer photo books and photo albums. This post highlights a custom wedding album created using PikPerfect’s professional Design Service and Photo Selection Service. The album was designed from 1,600 wedding photos and combines multiple design styles, a custom illustrated cover, and a layflat format. Below, we share how the album took shape, from photo curation to final design, and what made it unique to the couple.
Most couples finish their wedding with hundreds of photos. QC & Phil finished theirs with 1,600. Every moment. Every angle. Every guest, every toast, every detail from their elegant celebration at Florentine Gardens in New Jersey. Professional shots. iPhone candids. Photos they forgot they even took. And then came the question every couple faces: Now what?
They could spend days sorting through 1,600 photos, trying to figure out which ones to include, how to arrange them, which design style to use. Or they could do what they did: let PikPerfect’s Design Service (with the photo selection service added on) handle all of it.

The Photo Selection Challenge
Here’s what QC & Phil told their designer when they started:
“I provided our icloud link with over 1600 photos, would love for you to look through and cultivate a great story using as much as you think are needed.”
Think about that for a second. 1,600 photos. That’s not a weekend project. That’s days of sorting, comparing, second-guessing, and still not being sure if you chose the right ones.
So they used PikPerfect’s photo selection service, where a designer goes through all your photos and curates the ones that tell the best story. Not just technically good photos, but the ones that capture the emotion, the flow, the moments that matter.
Our designers reviewed all 1,600 images, selecting the photos that fit the couple’s color palette and pacing the album with quieter moments between the larger ones. The team first curated the collection down to 295 strong images; after QC & Phil asked to include a few more, the final album landed at 311 photos, all they had to do was review the curated set and give the green light.
Designed Around a Feeling, Not a Formula
QC & Phil didn’t arrive with a rigid brief. What they shared instead was a sense of place and mood: an elegant wedding at Florentine Gardens in New Jersey, surrounded by soft pinks, whites, and light reds. They were drawn to elements of timeless, floral, color blocks, and foliage-inspired styles, and they trusted the design team to find the balance.
Rather than forcing a single design style, the album was custom designed by blending those influences into one cohesive layout. Floral elements appear where the story softens. Foliage details echo the garden setting. Gentle color blocks help pace the album without distracting from the photography.
The result doesn’t feel like multiple styles stitched together. It feels considered, shaped around how the day actually unfolded.

A Custom Wedding Album Cover Made From Their Own Photo
The cover of QC & Phil’s custom wedding album features a unique element: a custom sketch created specifically for them.
PikPerfect’s design team turned one of QC & Phil’s wedding photos into a custom sketch, then UV printed it onto the rose linen cover alongside their title, “To the Moon and Back.” The result is beautifully crisp; a subtle finish that catches fine detail, and makes the cover feel as intentional as the pages inside. The rose linen adds warmth and depth, echoing the wedding palette of soft pinks and creating a cover that feels romantic without being overly sweet.
When you see this wedding album resting on a coffee table, it reads instantly as something personal; not a standard wedding album, not an off-the-shelf design. Between the custom sketch, the title, and the rose linen, it feels unmistakably like QC & Phil: a cover you recognize before you even turn the first page.

How PikPerfect’s Design Service Made This Wedding Album Possible
Here’s the actual process:
Step 1: QC & Phil shared a link to 1,600 photos and described their vision: elegant, mirroring Florentine Gardens, light pinks and whites and reds, drawn to Timeless, Floral, Foliage & Color Blocks design styles.
Step 2: The Photo Selection Service went through all 1,600 photos and curated the ones that best told their story, capturing the elegance, the color palette, the flow of the day.
Step 3: The design team created a custom sketch from one of their photos for the cover, paired it with rose linen and their chosen title. They also created sample spreads blending Timeless, Floral, Foliage, and Color Blocks. They showed QC & Phil what a mixed-style approach could look like with their specific photos.
Step 4: QC & Phil gave feedback. The designer refined. With unlimited revisions, they worked together until every spread felt right.
Step 5: Once they were completely happy with their custom wedding album design, they approved it for production. PikPerfect doesn’t require any upfront payment; customers only pay once they’ve reviewed the final design and are 100% satisfied with how their album looks. After payment, the album moves into production.
Step 6: The couple’s custom wedding album was then printed with HD Eco Matte pages, layflat binding, and delivered ready for display.
QC & Phil made the meaningful decisions – color palette, vibe, title, cover color. But they didn’t sort through 1,600 photos. They didn’t build the layout. They didn’t figure out how to blend three different design styles. They just said yes to what worked and asked for adjustments when something didn’t.
